Local Marketing Consultant

The Local Marketing Consultant is responsible for assisting Marketing Consultants in working with users of Brandmuscle’s Media Center to help execute local marketing and advertising programs placed through Brandmuscle. 

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include:

  • Working with a wide range of Brandmuscle end users (primarily via phone) to understand their immediate marketing needs
  • Submitting media requests for various vehicles (newspaper, magazine, online, radio/tv, sponsorships and events) using CRM system
  • Auditing completed media requests to ensure they match the client’s overall local marketing objectives and the original media request submitted
  • Acting as a liaison between the client and the Brandmuscle Media Planning team to ensure that project goals and timelines are met
  • Communicating and presenting media plans and rates to the end users, including any follow-up required to complete the request.
  • Processing payment, co-op claims and associated details for media orders.
  • Proofreading and confirming that insertion orders and creative materials are accurate and delivered to media partners by defined deadlines.
  • Coordinating a variety of priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail- oriented, self-starter
  • Availability to accommodate various working hours as client workload requires
  • Well versed in use of Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Minimum of 1 year media experience in an advertising agency, media agency
