Digital Sales Director

The Director, Digital Sales, has direct revenue responsibility, operational and staff management over the Performance Marketing Sales team, which is a the fastest growing segment of Brandmuscle.  He/she leads his/her team by providing strategic insight, planning and overseeing the operations for all sales activities, as well as manage a team overseeing development and role execution.  It is critical that this individual have previous agency experience in a delivery capacity of digital marketing solutions, can function in a strategic consulting role, and have demonstrated success at achieving and exceeding both individual and team sales quotas.

Responsibilities:

The Director, Digital Sales will report directly into the SVP of Performance Marketing, with responsibilities including:

  • Overseeing the primary activities of the Performance Marketing sales team to maximize sales revenues and attain division and corporate objectives
  • Managing a sales team of 2-4 members (ie team structure, mentoring, organization, training, strategic planning)
  • Attaining Quota determined by the Chief Digital Officer
  • Developing specific revenue plans for sales team as needed to ensure growth in all products/services targeted by the division
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (ie Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering) to ensure successful execution of agreed strategies and efficient workflow
  • Continually developing and maintaining existing partnership relationships
  • Leading the team by actively adopting and pushing best practices and enforcing sales operations processes
  • Opening doors to new clients and prospects
  • Setting appropriate monthly goals for sellers to achieve (meetings, calls, activities, deals won, etc.)
  • Contributing to overall company strategy
  • Drives financial success of business through hitting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Creates and maintains client relationships to ensure revenue growth
  • Explores new markets and actively promotes the Brandmuscle brand throughout current markets

Requirements:

  • Experience in both delivery and sales strategy roles within Digital Marketing, Advertising and/or Online Media.
  • 7+ years of experience in selling SaaS directly to marketing, digital, content, and brand management teams.
  • Experience in B2B sales, with the drive to reach out, and make industry connections quickly.
  • Can manage competing priorities while remaining organized, and keeping the leadership team abreast of your progress and efforts.
  • Strong business acumen, and experience with digital product design and marketing.
  • Can give in-depth explanations of the current trends and ecosystems in digital / performance marketing.
  • Have established and verifiable relationships with senior decision makers at Fortune 1000 firms.
  • Strong skills in presenting, negotiation, and communication.  Implementation of campaigns and strategies.
  • Diligent work ethic, creative, and confident
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding individual revenue targets in past positions
  • You have Capacity to perform independently and proactively while working on a team
  • Must live in the Northeast Ohio area, or be willing to relocate
