Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QAA) works with the development teams that design, build, and install new applications for the Brandmuscle solution. The QAA works with the product development team to develop and execute test plans based on project/bug requirements and communicates results to the team.  Additionally, the QAA reviews the test plan and test results with the client service team.  The QAA must be familiar with various test approaches/methods, must be able to identify appropriate methods to use, must have previous experience using automated testing applications, and have a ‘test to break’ attitude with an ability to take the point of view of the client.

 Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
  • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
  • Execute and evaluate manual and/or automated test cases and report test results.  This role will primarily focus the creation of Automated Test Cases for each release cycle.
  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
  • The QAA will be focused on testing custom website and microsite development as part of digital marketing group’s solutions implementation.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
  • Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and importance of QA in Development Enhancement and Maintenance of software applications.
  • Testing skills include Black Box, White Box, Regression, Functional, System, and Adhoc testing.
  • Exemplifies superior leadership, written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong business acumen.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation in the testing process.
  • In-depth knowledge of common testing methods, testing tools (e.g., QTP, UFT, ALM), terminology and industry practices.
  • Runs automated test tools to execute test cases. Proficient in running scripts from a shared test library.
  • Performs troubleshooting of software defects and/or automated scripts.

Technical skill set:

Experience

3+ years experience within technical quality assurance or a related field
