Human Resources Manager

Brandmuscle’s Austin Human Resources Manager (HRM) oversees the human resources and office operations functions for Brandmuscle’s
Austin location.

Reporting to an offsite HR Director, the HRM is part of a lean team of HR professionals who are charged with providing management with a strategic Human Resources partner, helping to optimize team productivity.  The HRM also acts as an ambassador for Brandmuscle, facilitates employee communications, and seeks to continuously improve employee engagement and development, promoting Brandmuscle as a preferred employer.

The HRM’s responsibilities include:

  • Administration of Brandmuscle programs and policies, providing communication and functional guidance and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
  • Facilitating recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance management
  • Administering training and developing new programs
  • Assisting with development needs and disciplinary guidance for  employees; mentoring and coaching managers on performance management tools and practices
  • Participating on the HR Staff as both a strategic partner and an employee advocate
  • Coordinating internal transfers and promotions, layoffs, and terminations to ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance to state and federal laws
  • Acting as a communication liaison between Brandmuscle Committees and executive management
  • Supporting, promoting and continuously improving Brandmuscle’s HR systems (ADP, Reviewsnap, Brandmuscle Community)
  • Helping the executive management team set direction for talent management initiatives and find solutions to address business opportunities and challenges
  • Preparing and administering payroll through ADP
  • Assisting in the selection and administration of benefits plans, including all insurance offerings and the 401K program
  • Maintenance and communication updates for Austin’s HR Brandmuscle Community content
  • Managing the summer intern program to ensure a mutually beneficial experience for both interns and the company
  • Managing Austin facilities and office functions
  • Manage Administrative roles

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Creative and vigorous in championing change.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational professionalism to aid in creating partnerships with functional managers and other HR team members.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment law
  • Ability to routinely handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to handle multiple and varied tasks.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and exercise good judgment.
  • PHR certification or equivalent required
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills

Experience

Four to six years of previous HR experience and PHR certification are required.
