Web Communications Coordinator

Brandmuscle is looking for a savvy, hard-working and motivated Web Communications Coordinator to join their growing Digital Team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate is proficient in HTML/CSS, has a passion for Digital Marketing and the Technology Space, and is an avid learner, always seeking out the newest digital marketing tactics and trends.

The Web Communications Coordinator will be responsible for working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to execute digital marketing initiatives. The Web Communications Coordinator will tackle day-to-day projects, contribute during meetings and participate in digital strategy sessions. The Coordinator will help develop and execute digital strategies while being exposed to the fast-paced world of a technology-enabled local marketing solutions company. The Web Communications Coordinator must not only be able to conceptualize and voice ideas, but also productively receive and process feedback and coaching.

Ultimately, the Coordinator will play a dynamic part in our collaborative and fast-paced Performance Marketing Team where we are changing the face of Local Digital Marketing by helping our vast portfolio of Fortune 1000 clients OWN LOCAL!

Areas of Focus:

  • Client Service: Day-to-day workflow will require one on one communication with clients in various industries, but mainly alcohol/beverage.
  • Programming and Development: This position requires a firm understanding of HTML/CSS development. The Web Development Coordinator will utilize our Email Service Provider’s marketing platform to build, test and deploy email campaigns.
  • Project Stewardship, Management and Analysis: The Web Development Coordinator will help lead the development and execution of email, landing pages and various web based projects from conception to deployment. This includes reviewing analytics to help make strategic recommendations for continued program optimization & successes.
  • Time Management: The Web Development Coordinator will manage timelines for multiple internal teams. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects is required. The ability to work under pressure with pressing, changing deadlines is a must.
  • Collaborative and Flexible: This positions will require flexibility, diligence and focus in a wide range of technical and creative environments. Staying ahead of the curve on the digital marketing industry and UX best practices and trends. Collaboration with other team members, partners & client stakeholders is a must to ensure the success of client initiatives. When needed, the Coordinator will assist in the creation and execution of strategic client presentations to bring in new business and expand client support.


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably a degree in communications, marketing/advertising or computer science).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience executing interactive projects, such as but not limited to, websites, email marketing, social media strategy and implementation.
  • Front-end coding experience, including HTML, CSS is required.
  • Knowledge using Photoshop.
  • Experience creating automated, personalized campaigns to drive engagement and/or trafficking, reporting and analyzing email campaigns.
  • Knowledge of email best practices and CAN-SPAM rules and regulations.

Desired Skills

  • Experience and comfort working with cross-functional teams and presenting to client stakeholders.
  • Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other digital marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with Google and/or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience designing and executing A/B/n tests.
  • Experience with the alcohol beverage industry.
  • Understanding of web analytics and online reporting tools.
  • Flexibility and availability to accommodate various working hours as client workload requires.
  • Be able to multitask, manage timelines, be a creative problem solver and have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Be able to learn new tools and software quickly and independently.
  • Be able to receive feedback on concepts/ideas and make the appropriate changes.
  • Be punctual and organized.
  • Ability to complete projects under direction and self-management.
  • Be flexible in working functions/duties.
  • PC proficiency + strong skills in MS Office Suite.
