Client Service, Manager

Responsible for the overall management of assigned client accounts, for supporting and assisting in the development of strategic definitions for the brand’s local marketing efforts, ensuring that Brandmuscle’s technology and service offering support the client’s local marketing and overall business strategy, and will help grow the client’s relationship with Brandmuscle. The Client Service Manager is responsible for effective and efficient operation of all client account service functions for their staff. The Client Service Manager will proactively engage clients in discussion regarding their local marketing goals to provide insights and perspectives and will serve as consultants in local marketing and Brandmuscle’s entire product and service offering to ensure that Brandmuscle is doing everything possible to achieve those goals. He/she serves as a role model for their team by helping staff members grow, assuring a vibrant, cohesive staff.

  • Fosters strong client relationships and seeks ways to develop the clients’ local marketing initiatives by providing critical insights that build strong, solid, strategic and tactical recommendations leveraging Brandmuscle’s solution.
  • Manages, grows, and develops the client accounts assigned to his/her group and maintains high level of performance of their teams.
    • Keeps on top of industry news, trends, best practices, and critical information related to their marketplaces which may include attending client presentations or training and applies appropriate perspective to assigned accounts
    • Identifies brand, industry and market challenges, and provides client guidance on how to better understand (i.e., market research recommendations) and address these challenges
    • Proactively identifies new opportunities in digital marketing tactics and works collaboratively with the Brandmuscle digital and technical teams to secure new business opportunities
  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of Brandmuscle’s entire product and service offering and, when appropriate, shares examples and case studies that will help support the client’s objectives and grow Brandmuscle’s relationship with the client.
  • Proactively cross-trains on product offerings to in order to provide strategic direction to his/her accounts
    • Co-op, Digital, Media, Social, Print Production, etc.
  • Helps manage internal resources to ensure that client relationships grow profitably over time.
  • Escalates any client-related issues to senior management and keeps them informed of the status of problems, significant plans, and meetings, as well as client organizational changes.
  • Leads the preparation and presentation of annual strategic, tactical plans and significant interim programs, and quarterly plans to the client.
  • Increase team collaboration through ongoing idea-sharing and brainstorming sessions
  • Helps identify new business opportunities in their account base.
  • Manages new client implementations closely with Sales, Operations and Graphic Operations.
  • Conducts and administers client billing each month in collaboration with the Finance team
  • Oversees all aspects of employee lifecycle of team members assigned to their accounts including the onboarding, training and development, and administering reviews to their team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record as a leader who grasps marketing and technology opportunities.
  • Advertising industry knowledge, commitment to client service. 
  • Ability to provide well-focused tactical plans that result in measurable success and better-than-market performance.
  • Detail-oriented with great organization skills & time management skills
  • Must possess a strong work ethic & have a team player mentality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be thoroughly computer literate and able to learn new software and applications quickly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Digital experience a plus.
  • Some travel required. 

Experience

  • Four to six years of ad agency account service or client side project management experience, and a complete knowledge of traditional and digital advertising are highly desired.
